On February 25, 26 and 27, I attended Model Rail Scotland at the Scottish Exhibition Centre,
Glasgow. The event was a terrific success with numbers holding up exceptionally well. Indeed, on the
Saturday it was diffi cult to see some of the exhibits at times, though ease of movement around the whole show was never compromised, such was the generous size of the aisles.
I doubt if I have enjoyed a show as much as this, certainly not for many a long day. Right from the
word go (because of family commitments I arrived ‘behind the pack’ so to speak), the spirit of cooperation, helpfulness and hospitality was immediate - there were no ‘little Hitlers’ so prevalent at some big shows dictating things, and the organisation was fi rst class.
